South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Resilience Breakfast - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be hosting free sausage sizzle Resilience Breakfast in Haly Street, Kingaroy next to Raine & Horne's offices between 6:00am and 9:00am this morning to raise awareness about fire, floods and storms over the summer months. The brekkie is being run in conjunction with flood recovery agencies, and there will also be practical demonstrations from the SES, Rural Fire Brigades and local ambulance so residents can learn how to be safe. CROW-FM 90.7 will be doing a live broadcast on site and in addition to a great sanger to start the day, there'll also be free Get Ready for Summer Season information and packs for people to take home and make necessary arrangements to ensure their safety.
Murgon National Seniors Meeting
The Murgon branch of National Seniors will be holding their bi-monthly meeting at the Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon from 10:00am this morning (though you can come as early as 9:30am if you'd like an informal morning tea beforehand). After the meeting, members usually adjourn to the Murgon Services Club for lunch. The group meets on the third Thursday of every second month and runs regular bus trips to nearby areas on alternate months. New members are always welcome. More details? St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Play 500 - Murgon

Bingo games will be held at Taras Hall immediately next to Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 10:00am this morning. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday Morning Zumba - Nanango
Zumba dance fitness classes will be held at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango at 9:00am this evening. The class fee is $5 and everyone is welcome.
Country Music Night - Nanango
An informal Country Music Night will be held at the Nansango Uniting Church in Gipps Street at 7:30pm tonight. The get-together is open to both spectators and performers, and the $2 entry fee includes supper. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday Morning Social Bowls - Wondai

Women's Shed - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Women's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all women who'd enjoy the companionship of other women while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? Apex Club Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Apex Club will be holding their regular fortnightly dinner meeting at the Australian Hotel's Steakhouse in Lamb Street, Murgon between 7:00pm and 9:30pm this evening (dinner is served at 7:30pm). Apex is a community service organisation that accepts men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 and new members are very welcome!
Murgon RSL Bingo

South Burnett Toastmasters - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Toastmasters will be holding their regular meeting in the Anzac Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy at 7:00pm this evening. Toastmasters is a great way to learn how to speak in public and boost your self-confidence, and new members are always very welcome! Meetings are held on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month between 7:00pm and 9:30pm.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
