South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Fitness Classes - Durong
The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be running fitness classes in Durong today (and every Wednesday until November 20). Between 9:00am and 10:00am instructor Lynnelle Seiler will be running a Stretch Class at the Old Boondooma School; and from 10:30am to 11:30am she'll be running a Tai Chi For Health class at Durong Hall. If you'd like to come along to either class, you should wear joggers and comfortable clothing suitable for exercise; bring a water bottle, mat or towel; and medication (if applicable). South Burnett Tourism Association Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Tourism Association will be holding its latest bi-monthly meeting at the Taabinga Room inside Kingaroy TAFE at 6:00pm this evening (nibbles will be available from 5:30pm). The meeting will discuss reformulating the SBTA's aims and objectives so that the group will have a clearer idea of what it's trying to achieve in the future; tidying up the SBTA's Rules of Association to bring them up to date; and deciding how to manage the SBTA's relationship with the Regional Tourism Organisation. Anyone with an interest in the development of the South Burnett's tourism industry is very welcome to attend.
Blackbutt Red Cross Meeting
The Blackbutt Red Cross branch will be holding their monthly meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Blackbutt at 9:30am this morning. New members are very welcome.
Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch Meeting
The latest monthly meeting of the new Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch will be held at the 1913 Council Chambers in Edward Street, Kingaroy (behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre) from 6:00pm to around 7:30pm tonight. The Twilight Branch is a new branch of the QCWA designed for working women and busy mums which meets in the evenings rather than during the day, and is separate from the Kingaroy branch. It's open to all women who'd like to take part in QCWA activities and/or find out more about this highly respected community organisation. Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers Group will be holding their regular Wednesday meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:00am until around 4:00pm today. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group Meeting
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Wednesday Night Poker - Kingaroy

Nanango Blue Light Open Night
The Nanango Blue Light Disco committee will be holding their regular Wednesday Open Night at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Wednesday Wipe-Outs Ten Pin Bowling - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Lively 50s&60s Social Group will be resuming their weekly Wednesday Wipe-Outs 10-Pin Bowling Morning at the Kingaroy Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 4 Irvins Street from 9:15am this morning (bowling starts at 9:30am sharp). The cost is $15.60 for three games plus a $2.00 fee that will be used towards prize monies and trophies which will be handed out out at the end of the season. Wednesday Morning Zumba - Nanango
Zumba dance fitness classes will be held at the Nanango Skating Rink in George Street, Nanango at 9:00am this evening. The class fee is $5 and everyone is welcome.
Karaoke Practice Night - Wondai
Love2Sing will be meeting at The Studio (the small building behind the Wondai Regional Art Galley on the roundabout at Wondai) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm this evening for a Karaoke Practice Night. This informal group allows karaoke singers to practice their songs, share tips and learn in a supportive environment. Summer Soccer 7s - Kingaroy
South Burnett Football's second annual Summer Soccer 7's competition will hold its first weekly match at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. The competition - which has both a social series and a competitive series - is designed to help soccer players keep fit during the off season and also have fun with the game they love. Its open to beginners and retired players as well as current players between the ages of 15 and 60, and both men and women can take part. The South Burnett Carers Social & Information Group will be holding its regular monthly meeting in the Tobruk Room of Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am and 12:30pm this morning. The group is open to anyone who acts as a carer. It's designed to provide a social and networking outlet for carers, who often find themselves isolated by their role. Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. Tourism Forum - Kingaroy
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council will be running a "Have Your Say" forum at the South Burnett Enterprise Centre boardroom at 6 Cornish Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am to 12:30pm today (tea/coffee and lunch will be provided). The purpose of the forum is to get opinions from tourism industry operators about such issues as visitor experiences; commission structures; market-dominant behaviours; destination reputation; a voluntary code of practice for tour desks; a wider application of a Code of Practice for all industry; and licensing, regulation and accreditation matters.
