Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting
The Kingaroy Writers' Association will be meeting between 9:30am and 12:00 noon this morning at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Alford and Youngman Streets in Kingaroy. Members meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month to share their work with other members and take part in writing and word exercises. Membership is $5 per annum and meetings are $2 to cover tea and coffee (bring a plate for a shared morning tea experience). New members are always very welcome! More details? Blackbutt Singers Practice Morning - Yarraman

Tuesday Darts Night - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Darts Association will be holding their regular Tuesday night darts competition from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at their premises at Shed 1, 18 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. A $6 playing fee applies, but there's also a fully liocensed bar and raffles too. Tuesday Trivia Night - Kingaroy

Tuesday Afternoon Card & Board Games - Wondai
Tuesday afternoon card and board games will be played at The Studio at the rear of the Wondai Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. Some board games are available but you're welcome to bring your own too, if you like. You should also BYO afternoon tea, but otherwise admission is free and everyone is welcome. Public Meeting - Blackbutt
A public meeting will be held at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt at 7:30pm this evening to discuss recent rate increases in the Blackbutt area and the South Burnett Regional Council's $200 road levy. SBRC Mayor Wayne Kratzmann will be attending the meeting to explain the Council's position and answer questions. Everyone is welcome. More details? Mayor's Charity Breakfast - Nanango
A Mayor's Charity Breakfast featuring cricketing stars Greg Blewett and the South Burnett's own Holly Ferling will be held at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango at 7:00am this morning (guests need to be seated by 6:45am). The breakfast is being jointly sponsored by NaTDA, Nanango Foodworks, South Burnett Radiology and the South Burnett Regional Council and all proceeds will go to the Mayor's Community Fund to be distributed to worthwhile local causes. Tickets are $30 and need to have been booked by October 10, but if any have come available at the last minute you can find out by calling Bronwyn at the SBRC on (07) 4189-9155.
World Rural Women's Day Afternoon Tea- Kingaroy
Centacare South Burnett will be hosting a special afternoon tea at St Mary's Hall at 15 Albert Street in Kingaroy this afternoon to mark World Rural Women's Day. The free afternoon tea will be held from 3:00pm to 4:30pm and everyone is welcome - but for catering purposes, an RSVP to (07) 4162-5439 would be greatly appreciated.
