Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman St, Kingaroy will be running bingo matches from 7:30pm this evening with $800 in prizes on offer. More details from the club on (07) 4162-1404

Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. 2012 UAV Challenge - Kingaroy
The final day of the three-day UAV Challenge (2012 Outback Rescue) will be held at Kingaroy Airport on the Goodger Road south-west of Kingaroy today. The Challenge is an international competition for unmanned aerial vehicles (ie robot planes) and is open to all Australian high school students, university students and UAV enthusiasts. This year 23 teams will be competing for up to $50,000 in prize monies between now and Wednesday, and spectators are very welcome to go out to Kingaroy Airport to watch the action close-up. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Arthritis & Osteoporosis Support Group Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Arthritis & Osteoporosis Support Group will be holding their regular first Wednesday of the month meeting at the Kingaroy Community Centre at 130 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy at 10:00am this morning. The group provides support for arthritis and osteoporosis sufferers and meets every month except January. Today's meeting will be showing a DVD and new members are always welcome. More details? School Holiday Entertainment - Kingaroy
Kingaroy Shoppingworld will be providing free school holiday entertainment at Shop 28A (next to Big W) at 11:00am and 1:00pm today. Shoppingworld will be running Magic Scratch Bookmarks workshops, which show school children how to make their own brightly-coloured bookmarks.
Special Council Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a Special Meeting at their Glendon Street Council Chambers at 9:00am this morning to discuss and vote on opening an overdraft facility to help smooth out cash flow issues for the record $70 million in flood restoration works they'll be spending this year. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
