Murgon Rotary Club Meeting

Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy

Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Indoor bowls competitions commence at 9:00am and cards at around 1:00pm, and the $2 admission includes a cup of tea. Everyone is welcome! For more details phone (07) 4163-6191.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution. Nanango Seniors Meeting
The Nanango branch of National Seniors will be holding their regular 3rd Wednesday of the month meeting at CTC (opposite the State Primary School) in Drayton Street, Nanango at 10:30am this morning - though you can come as early as 9:30am if you'd like a cuppa and natter first. New members aged 50-plus are very welcome!
South Burnett Saints Meeting - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Saints AFL Club will be holding a meeting at the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) at 6:30pm this evening. All people who'd like to get a South Burnett AFL team playing in the region next year are very welcome to attend.

Service Provider's Expo - Kingaroy
As part of Carer's Week, the Steps Group in partnership with the Department of Human Services will be a holding a Service Providers Expo at Kingaroy RSL's Tobruk Room from 10:30am to 4:30pm today. Service providers who offer services that support carers (either directly or indirectly) will be available to answer questions, and there'll also be displays and guest presentations throughout the day. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group Meeting
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango every second Wednesday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. The South Burnett Regional Council will be holding its monthly general meeting at the Glendon Street Council Chambers in Kingaroy at 9:00am this morning. Meetings are open to the public.
Community Kitchen Meeting - Blackbutt
If you live in (or near) Blackbutt, are interested in cooking affordable and nutritious meals and would like to get together with a group of like-minded individuals on a regular basis to socialise and cook food, RHealth and the South Burnett Regional Council will be holding their monthly Community Kitchen meeting at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall from 10:00am and 12:00 noon today. Community Kitchens are owned and driven by participants, who make all the decisions about running the group; how often it meets and what will be cooked. In general, your only cost will be to pay for your share of the ingredients used in any cook-up - but to kick the kitchen off, the SBRC will supply the funding for the first 10 cooking sessions.
