The Waterhole Rocks - Nanango
- The third (and final) day of the three-day Waterhole Rocks rock 'n' roll campout weekend will kick off at the Nanango Showgrounds at 7:00am this morning and continue on until around 2:00pm this afternoon. The new festival is devoted to all things associated with 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll. This includes hot rods, custom cars, vintage caravans, driving games and dance lessons, all backed up by a slew of local and imported rock 'n' roll acts. Today these will include singer-composer Bobby Ricks and the Atomic Cruisers, along with a great Show 'N' Shine for pre-1974 vehicles. A bar and canteen will be operating too, and admission today is just $5. Camping will also be available at the Showgrounds for $25 per person and then $8.50 per person per night if you want to bunk down on site. Everyone is welcome! More details? Phone the Nanango Show Society on (07) 4163-1273 or Terry on (07) 4163-1999 or 0409-496-167.
