The Waterhole Rocks - Nanango
- The first day of the three-day Waterhole Rocks rock 'n' roll campout weekend will roar into life at the Nanango Showgrounds at 1:00pm this afternoon and continue on until late tonight. The new festival is devoted to all things associated with 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll. This includes hot rods, custom cars, vintage caravans, driving games and dance lessons, all backed up by a slew of local and imported rock 'n' roll acts. Today these will include singer-composer Bobby Ricks, Tina and Joe from Pobblebonk, the Atomic Cruisers, South Burnett Elvis impersonator Jeff Hancox and local singer Natalie Fenton. A bar and canteen will be operating and admissiuon today is $5. Camping will also be available at the Showgrounds for $25 per person and then $8.50 per person per night if you want to bunk down on site. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Junior Blue Light Disco - Kingaroy
- The fifth bi-monthly Junior Blue Light Disco for 2012 will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. Entry to the Junior Disco is restricted to young people aged 14 and below who can produce their student ID, and in addition to a fun night out tonight's disco will also have some great prizes to be won as well (courtesy of sponsor Bill Hull Car Centre). Admission is $5 and - as usual - attendees are asked to remember that Blue Light Discos are drug, alcohol, chewing gum and tobacco free and no passouts or early exit will be given without parental permission and/or collection. South Burnett Community Orchestra Concert - Murgon
- The South Burnett Community Orchestra Concert will be performing in concert at Murgon Town Hall off Lamb Street, Murgon at 7:30pm this evening, with a light supper served at interval. Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 11:00am to 1:00pm today at 10 Kingaroy Street in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $35 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Chat With The Mayor - Nanango
- South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann will be appearing at the Nanango Newsagency in Drayton Street, Nanango from 7:00am to 10:00am today so that residents can chat with him about any issues of concern they might have. Today's chat is the last in a series that the Mayor has been holding around the region since early September.
Karaoke Night - Tingoora
- The South Burnett Lively 50s & 60s Singles Social Group will be holding a Karaoke Night at the Tingoora Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Tingoora from 8:00pm until late this evening. World Rural Womens Day Luncheon - Wooroolin
- The QRRRWN and Centacare South Burnett will be jointly hosting their annual World Rural Women's Day Luncheon at Wooroolin Hall on the Buyna Highway, Wooroolin from 9:30am to 2:30pm today. For $15 per head, guests can get to enjoy a great morning tea and lunch and hear a range of inspirational guest speakers. There'll also be raffles and other amusements. Blue Light Disco - Murgon
- A Murgon Blue Light Disco for primary school age children will be held at the Diggers Room in the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon between 6:30pm and 8:30pm this evening. The $4 admission fee includes a hot dog dinner and there'll be some great prizes to be won as well. Blue Light discos are drug, alcohol and tobacco free and are fully supervised by local police, Apexians, Lions and other volunteers. Friday Night Cricket - Kingaroy and Murgon
- Two B-Grade T20 semi-final matches will be played in Kingaroy and Murgon tonight. In Kingaroy, Kingaroy Services will play Wondai at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 6:30pm. An in Murgon, Murgon Crusaders will play Murgon Magic at the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street, also at 6:30pm. Spectators and supporters are very welcome.
