An Evening With Sophie Phillis - Kingaroy
Emerald mum and 2013 contestant on The Voice Sophie Phillis (pictured) will be appearing at the HCCC at the corner of Edenvale North Road and the D'Aguilar Highway south of Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. Sophie will be appearing as part of a fundraiser for St John's Lutheran School's Grade 6 & 7 excursion to Canberra later this year. Country Music Practice Night - Nanango

Junior Blue Light Disco - Kingaroy
The third bi-monthly Junior Blue Light Disco for 2013 will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. Entry to the Junior Disco is restricted to young people aged 14 and below who can produce their student ID, and in addition to a fun night out tonight's disco will also have some great prizes to be won as well (courtesy of sponsors Blooms The Chemist and the Kingaroy RSL. Admission is $5 and - as usual - attendees are asked to remember that Blue Light Discos are drug, alcohol, chewing gum and tobacco free and no passouts or early exit will be given without parental permission and/or collection. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. The South Burnett Wine Appreciation Society will be holding their monthly meeting at their regular meeting address - the 1913 Council Chambers in Edward Street behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre - from 6:30pm onwards this evening. Tonight's meeting will be a comparative tasting of reds and whites from the Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Clare and the South Burnett, and everyone is welcome. - Former State of Origin rugby league player Petero Civoniceva will be visiting Kingaroy State School, Wondai State School, Murgon State High School and also appearing at the Murgon Sports Ground today as a guest of the South Burnett Junior Rugby League.
South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 11:00am to 1:00pm today at 22 Stolzenberg Road in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $35 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
