Domestic Violence Prevention Program - Kingaroy
- POSTPONED - The Toowoomba Domestic & Family Violence Protection Service (DFVPS) will be holding the first day of a two-day DVO Training Program at the Kingaroy Cricket Club in Youngman Street from 9:30am to 4:30pm today (the second, final day will be held at the same time and venue tomorrow). The course will teach students the nature of domestic and family violence; values, beliefs, myths and facts about it; indicators of domesic violence and supporting women; the effects of domestic and family violence on children; and the Domestic & Family Violence Act 1999 and recent amendments to it. The couse fee is $60 to cover catering costs (lunch is provided on both days) but to allow for catering, an RSVP is essential by July 2nd. Coffee & Cake Morning - Wondai
The Lively 50's & 60's Singles Social Group will be holding a coffee and cake social morning at Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai between 10:00am and 12:00 noon today. Tourism Advisory Group Meeting - Booie
- Southern Queensland Country Tourism will be holding a Tourism Advisory Group Meeting at Crane Wines at Haydens Road in Booie at 5:30pm this afternoon. The meeting will update attendees on the latest activities of the Regional Tourism Board including the 2013-14 Partnership Prospectus, campaign results, and website updates.
