Nanango Country Markets
- The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to around 12:00 noon today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets, but they'll be operating in a COVID Safe way. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and attract up to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Proston Men's Shed

Camp Oven Dinner Under The Stars - Kingaroy
- Hillview Cottages at 297 Birt Road in Kingaroy will be holding a Camp Oven Dinner Under The Stars from 6:00pm to 10:00pm tonight. The three course dinner will be prepared by award-winning camp oven cooks The Bait Layers, and Moffatdale Ridge Winery will be providing wines and selected beers at the bar. Well-known Kingaroy astronomer James Barclay will also be making a special presentation on the wonders of the night sky and bringing along his large telescopes to allow guests to get a close-up view of the cosmos. Mud Women Mothers & Daughters - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Regional Council will be running a Mud Women Mothers & Daughters session for women and their daughters (aged 12 or above) at the QCWA Rooms at 122 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. For $30, guests can create unfired clay sculptures and decorate them with crystals, stones, beads, sticks, feathers or shells to construct their own unique family memorabilia items. Places are limited, however, and bookings need to be made online at Eventbrite

- The Nanango Men's Shed at the corner of Mt Stanley Road and Heathermore Lane, Nanango will be open from 8:30am to around 12:30pm today for its regular Saturday get-together. Pig On A Spit Night - Wooroolin
- The Grand Hotel on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin will be holding their monthly Pig On A Spit Night from 5:30pm until late this evening. Apart from a great roast pork meal there'll also be a Lucky Door prize, raffles and entertainment. Tickets are $32.50 for adults, $21 for pensioners, $16 for high school students and $10 for primary school children (U5s are free). In addition, tonight's get-together will feature incredible meat tray raffles and an auction to help raise funds for The Flying Peanut team taking part in this year's Variety Club Rally. Queensland Winter Craft Festival - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy (opposite the peanut silos) will be officially opening its two-month Queensland Winter Craft Festival from 10:00am to 2:00pm this afternoon. This year the Gallery will be hosting different exhibitions each month along with a raft of workshops and courses in many different aspects of craft (anything from mosaics and pottery to butterfly printing and terrariums). After today's opening the exhibitions can be viewed from 10:00am to 4:00pm Mondays to Fridays and 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays until the end of the month, when the Winter Craft Festival's second exhibition will be unveiled. Publican's Run & Jam Session - Wondai
- The Cecil Hotel will be holding their monthly Publican's Run for motorcyclists this morning. Participants should assemble with their motorcycles outside the hotel in Mackenzie Street at 10:00am. After this, they'll be taken on a 2 hour mystery (with one or two pit stops) before returning to the Cecil for lunch. There's no fee to take part in the Run and lunch is optional as well. Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding a meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on projects and new members are always welcome.
Kroozy Tunes - Linville
- The Kroozy Tunes Duo will be performing at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 4:00pm until late tonight. The hotel's kitchen will also be operating from 11:00am for lunch, dinner and snacks and there's free camping across the road or paid accommodation at the pub if you want to stay overnight. A Two Day Taste Of Permaculture - Crownthorpe
- Bottle Tree Hill Organics will be running A Two Day Taste Of Permaculture from 9:30am to 4:30pm today and tomorrow at their farm at 1525 Crownthorpe Road in Crownthorpe (near Murgon). The two-day course is designed to introduce participants to permaculture practices and provide small, practical solutions you can work into everyday life. It will also provide an overview of permaculture's principles and patterns and how climate, landscape, soil and water can best be used. Saturday Rugby League - Cherbourg
- The local rugby league competition will be played at Jack O'Chin Oval in Broadway Street, Cherbourg today, with U6s to U12s matches running between 8:00am and 1:50pm. After this, the first A-grade match of the day will be played between the Nanango Stags and the Murgon Mustangs at 2:45pm, followed by a clash between Cherbourg's Hornets and the Kingaroy Red Ants at 4:30pm. A canteen will be operating in the grounds and spectators and supporters are very welcome.
Yarraman Men's Shed

Bardfest - Nanango
- The Nanango Theatre Company will be hosting their second Bardfest at their playhouse at 1 Elk Street in Nanango from 7:00pm to around 10:00pm tonight. The event was a sell-out the last time it was run and tonight's new show will feature performances from Ian Fraser, Jocelyn Richardson, Frank Hodgkinson and Bruce Webb who'll all be reading selections of Australian and international verse that have made them laugh or cry. Tickets - which include a light supper - are just $20 for adults of $15 for concessions and NTC members and they can be booked online
Saturday Morning Tennis - Blackbutt

The starting line is adjacent to the Roy Emerson Museum, off Bowman Road. Runners follow a course along the former railway line and the parkrun group is free to join.
