Queensland Hydro – the government corporation behind the proposed Borumba Dam pumped hydro project – has hired a survey company to contact local communities.
A Queensland Hydro spokesperson said Voconiq has been hired to deliver the “Local Voices” program to help identify and understand the needs, concerns and priorities of the communities surrounding the project.
The group will conduct a series of confidential surveys designed to understand how needs and priorities change over time,
An online survey opened on Monday (January 27) and will run until February 24.
Voconiq team members will also be visiting locations in Kilcoy, Jimna, Amamoor, Imbil and Kenilworth between January 31 and February 8 to speak to people face-to-face.
