Four South Burnett small businesses are among 174 across Queensland to receive grants under the latest round of the State Government’s Secure Communities Partnership Program.

  • Essential Health Services – $7500
  • Edgewater Farming Co – $18,209
  • Barambah Machinery & Rural – $10,319
  • Royal Hotel Murgon – $20,000

The grants will be used either for “access control and management” or “surveillance and detection”.

Earlier this month, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council received $326,184, and the South Burnett Regional Council received $43,678, to deploy CCTV cameras under the Local Council tranche of the same grants program.

    CASC, relatively small area while SBRC is a large area with quite a few towns and many villages. Why the huge imbalance?
