Kumbia residents had the opportunity to meet their new officer-in-charge at a “Coffee With A Cop” morning on Friday.
Senior Constable Cameron Knust began work at Kumbia Station a few weeks ago, after being transferred from Blackbutt.
The Knust family are already getting involved with the local community and were special guests at the recent Kumbia Neighbourhood Watch 35th birthday celebration.
Also chatting with residents in Apex Park – and sharing a coffee from a local shop – was Acting Inspector Chris Donovan, from the South Burnett Patrol Group.
Snr Const Knust said the Kumbia Station would be open every Monday from 9:00am to noon for residents, unless he was called out on an urgent job.
However, he emphasised that if the station was unattended, residents should always call PoliceLink on 131-444 or Triple Zero in an emergency.

As before, the Kumbia station cannot cannot handle weapons licences.
