The recommended transmission line routes for the proposed Borumba Dam pumped hydro project will be released on Thursday.

A Powerlink spokesperson confirmed that maps of the recommended 1km-wide corridors will be published on the Powerlink website on Thursday evening.

These corridors will later be reduced to a 70m easement after more detailed studies are carried out.

The draft Draft Corridor Selection Report will show the recommended corridor for the southern line, to link to the Tarong and Halys substations, and the northern line, to link to the Woolooga substation.

Since November 2022, Powerlink has hosted 29 community information sessions across the South Burnett and Gympie regions to discuss the proposed routes.
