Kumbia Christmas Carnival
Kumbia's 13th Annual Christmas Carnival will be held in and around Kumbia Hall on the Bunya Highway from 5:00pm until late this evening. Features of this year's event will include the town's traditional Festival of Christmas Trees and the hall itself will be decorated as part of the Kumbia Christmas Lights Competition. There'll also be face-painting; games and rides for children including a merry-go-round, jumping castle and other fun stalls; live musical entertainment; and the drawing of a raffle for a Giant Christmas Hamper (valued at over $250!) as well as lots of quick ham and chook raffles during the evening. A BBQ will also be operating and special Santa burgers, Santa's Helper Burgers and Santa's Little Helper burgers will be available at very reasonable prices. Santa himself will be paying a visit to give away sample bags to children up to Year 7 at around 7:30pm. There'll also be lots of market stalls and beautiful Christmas displays right around the town too. Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting - Blackbutt
- The Timbertown Woodworkers Group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:00am until around 12:00pm today. Murgon Community Christmas Carols
Murgon's annual Community Christmas Carols will be held at Murgon Town Hall off Lamb Street in Murgon from 6:00pm onwards this evening (carols start at 6:30pm). Battery-operated candles will be on sale and everyone is welcome! Note: The Carols service is a fund-raiser for the Murgon school chaplaincy programs which service seven schools in the area, and proceeds of the evening will go to aid this. Antique Car Club Rally - Hivesville
- The South Burnett Antique Car Club will be holding a display at the Hivesville Hotel in Main Street, Hivesville between 9:00am and 12:00 noon this morning. Members of the public who are interested in antique cars are very welcome to come and look over the vehicles.
