Heartmoves Exercise Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves exercise session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. - The Busy Needles Club will be meeting at Nanango's Uniting Church Hall at 114 Drayton Street from 9:30am to 2:00pm today. The club caters for people interested in patchwork, machine embroidery, sewing and knitting and meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. - The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango every second Wednesday from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $4 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Annual Christmas Remembrance Service - Kingaroy
Virgo Funerals will be holding their 4th annual Christmas Remembrance Service at their chapel in the South Burnett Crematorium at Pioneer Avenue, Kingaroy (opposite Taabinga Cemetery) at 6:30pm this evening. This year's non-denominational service will be officiated by a minister from the Kingaroy Ministers Fraternal and will be followed by refreshments in the chapel's gardens afterwards. The purpose of the service is to allow people to remember and commemorate a loved one who's passed away in the company of others and there's no charge to attend - but an RSVP to help plan the catering would be greatly appreciated. Summer Soccer 7s - Kingaroy
The sixth (and final) round of the weekly summer Soccer 7s competition will be held at 6:30pm this evening at Tom Alford Oval in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy (ie the Kingaroy soccer grounds). The competition is open to players of all skill levels and abilities, and players who weren't registered for the 2012 season can pay a $25 social registration which will cover them until December 31. There will also be a $50 team nomination fee available, as well as a nightly match fee of $5 each to play. Everyone is welcome! More details?
