South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Kingaroy Swimming Club Meeting
The Kingaroy Swimming Club will be holding their regular Tuesday Club Night meeting at the Kingaroy Swimming Pool at the corner of Alford and William Streets, Kingaroy from 6:00pm onwards this evening. New members are always welcome and the pool is heated. More details? Phone Richard on (0457) 502-969 or email him. Note: Entry to the pool is via the side gate in William Street if the main entry is closed. And in case of wet weather - or any other apparent reason for cancellation - contact can be made with the pool staff after 5:00pm on the day to check if the Club Night will be conducted. Also please note: Tonight's meeting is the last Club Night until mid-January because of the up-coming Festive Season. Club Nights will resume on Tuesday 15th January 2013. Next week, though, the club will be holding a Family Fun Night at the pool as a Chrisrtmas break-up.
Kingaroy Writers Association Meeting - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Writers' Association will be holding their annual Christmas Lunch at the Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 11:30am onwards this morning. New members are always very welcome! Maidenwell QCWA Meeting & Christmas Break-Up
The Maidenwell branch of the QCWA will be holding their monthly meeting at the Maidenwell Hall Supper Room from 8:45am this morning (when things will kick off with a welcoming cuppa) through until this afternoon. The branch meeting itself will commence at 9:30am and all ladies in the Maidenwell and Bunya Mountains areas are very welcome to come along and meet the other branch members! Since today's meeting is also the group's annual Christmas break-up, though, everyone will adjourn to the nearby Maidenwell Hotel for lunch around 11:30am. The new South Burnett Saints AFL team will be holding the last round of its AFL 9s competition at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 6:00pm this evening. The South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program will be running three gold coin donation activities in Nanango today: Yoga at Pioneer Park from 9:00am to 10:00am; Lawn Bowls at the Nanango Bowls Club in Henry Street from 10:00am to 11:00am; and Rapid Dance at Pioneer Park, also from 10:00am to 11:00am. Business Building Course - Kingaroy and Murgon
The South Burnett Regional Council and Transforming Smsll Business will be presenting the fourth of a five-week series of workshops on building a businress at the Kingaroy Town Hall Supper Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 11:0am this morning; and again at Gumnut Place in Gore Street, Murgon from 6:00pm to 8:30pm this evening. The course is being presented by Trudi Bartlett and will focus on many aspects of business building including staff motivation; increasing sales; staff training and development; and marketing and advertising.
