Community Flood Recovery Information Meeting - Wooroolin and Mondure
The South Burnett Regional Council in conjunction with the Federal and State Governments and regional organisations will be holding the final two of a series of Community Flood Recovery Information Meetings at the Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway, Wooroolin from 6:30am to 8:30am this morning; and again at the Mondure Hall in Mondure from 6:30pm to 9:00pm tonight. The purpose of the meetings is to provide the latest information about the assistance that's now available (eg: loans, grants and/or support) for people who were affected by the Australia Day weekend floods. Apart from the Council there'll also be representatives on hand from the Department of Communities, Farm Financial Counsellors from DAFF, BIEDO Grant Angels, Centrelink and Centacare to answer questions and make appointments to assist. A cuppa and breakfast will also be supplied at the morning meeting (light refreshments at the evening meeting) and anyone affected by the recent floods - or who knows of someone who was - is very welcome. More details? Phone the SBRC on (07) 4189-9100 or visit the Council's website. POSTPONED: Due to Monday's heavy rains, both of these meetings have now been postponed. New dates will be set in the near future.

All donations are tax-deductible.
