Kingaroy Red Ants Sign-On Day
The Kingaroy Red Ants rugby league club will be holding their 2013 Sign-On Day at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 10:30am to 12:00 noon today. Last year the Red Ants were the South Burnett's U12s, U16s and U18s premiers, and narrow runners-up to the Cherbourg Hornets in the A grade competition. This year they'll be looking to improve on that if possible. Today the T J O'Neil canteen will be open and there'll be a BBQ sizzling. The club has great facilities for players and spectators, including new fields and new dressing sheds available by the time this year's season starts, along with with improved canteen facilities. All new players from 5 yrs to Seniors are very welcome! PS: The Red Ants are also looking for a secretary, grounds coordinator and coaches for the U6s, U10s and U12s teams. So if your on-field days are over but you'd still like to be an important part of the game, you can come along today and throw your hat in the ring for one of these vital spots.

- Seascape Studios at 52 Arthur Street in Nanango will be hosting an Open Mic Day at their premises from 11:00am to 10:00pm today. Seascape will be supplying a stage and PA set-up, and all guests need to bring are their musical instruments, BBQ food, chairs and whatever they want to drink. Everyone is welcome - it's a family and child-friendly venue - and camping is available on-site if you want to sleep over. Bunya Country Music Social - Kingaroy
The Bunya Country Music Association will be holding their first Country Music Social for 2013 in the Tobruk Room of Kingaroy RSL in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 12:00 noon to around 5:00pm today.
