Murgon National Seniors Meeting
- After a short break for the Festive Season, the Murgon branch of National Seniors will be holding their first meeting for 2013 at the Murgon Bowls Club in Macalister Street, Murgon from 10:00am this morning (though you can come as early as 9:30am if you'd like an informal morning tea beforehand). After the meeting, members usually adjourn to the Murgon Services Club for lunch. The group meets on the third Thursday of every second month and runs regular bus trips to nearby areas on alternate months. New members are always welcome. More details? St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
- St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be holding bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Diabetes Prevention Workshop - Kingaroy
RHealth and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities Program will be holding the last of four free weekly workshops today designed to help people reduce their risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The workshop will be held at the Kingaroy Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and over the course of four weeks participants will learn about physical activity; healthy eating; healthy cooking; and how to make smart food choices. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership, and A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
