Calamity Jane - A Musical Western
- The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be presenting their fourth performance of the musical "Calamity Jane" at Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy from 7:00pm tonight. Calamity Jane based on the non-historical story of a real US frontierswoman and her association with Wild Bill Hickok. The musical is an adaption of a 1953 Warner Bros film of the same name that starred Doris Day. Tickets to see Calamity Jane are $30 for adults or $20 for students/concessions and they can be booked online or purchased at the door. Note: There'll be just two more performances, this Saturday and Sunday.
QCWA Breast Cancer Awareness Day - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy QCWA will be turning its monthly scone day today over into a special Pink Ribbon event for breast cancer. Everyone is invited to come along from 9:00am to noon to the QCWA clubrooms at 122 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy. There'll be freshly baked scones and biscuits (orders are welcome!). Arts And Crafts Day - Linville
- The Linville Progress Association will be hosting its fortnightly arts and crafts day from 10:00am to noon today at the Linville Community Hall, 42 George Street, Linville. Bring along your craft, share your knowledge or just come for a chat and a cuppa.
Friday Night At The Shed
- The Shed in Little Drayton Street, Nanango (just next to the Scott Car Park) will be open from 7:00pm until late tonight for local musicians and anyone else who enjoys music to come along, bring their instruments and jam in a relaxed and informal setting, or just sit on the Shed's lounges, listen in and enjoy the wide variety of talent on offer. Big Scrub Garden Club
- The Big Scrub Garden Club meets on the last Friday of each month at different gardens in the areas of Durong/Boondooma, Proston, Mt McEuen, Kingaroy, Kumbia and Nanango. New members are always welcome! Email the club to find out where they're going to be meeting this month.
Kingaroy RSL Bingo

South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
- The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items). Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
- Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for membership. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
