Wandering cattle have been blamed for two crashes in the local region within a few hours.

The first incident occurred at Windera about 6:50pm on Sunday.

A QAS spokesperson said a woman, aged in her 20s, was hurt when her vehicle hit a cow on Murgon-Gayndah Road.

She was transported by ambulance to Murgon Hospital in a stable condition with a minor arm injury.

The second incident occurred on the D’Aguilar Highway near Harlin about 2:20am on Monday.

QAS paramedics assessed three patients, who were in a stable condition, after their vehicle hit a cow.

One woman was taken to Caboolture Hospital with neck pain.

This incident occurred near Kangaroo Creek Road, just past the Brisbane Valley Highway turn-off.

  1. And sadly, in Qld, there is no requirement for the farmer to keep his stock off our roads and no ability to claim costs for damage to vehicles or medical bills from him.
