A woman and young boy were lucky to escape injury when a fire badly damaged a house at Haly Creek on Thursday night
Emergency crews were called to the incident, in Haly Creek Road, about 9:00pm.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the fire was confined to the rear of the building but had spread to the roof space.
Nine fire crews attended, including rural and three urban trucks.
The fire was contained and extinguished by just after 11:00pm.
A QAS spokesperson said paramedics assessed a woman in her 30s and an infant boy at the scene for minor smoke exposure but neither required transport to hospital.
