The Bunya Mountains Community Association Inc is one of 30 community groups from across the Maranoa electorate to receive support form the latest round of the Federal Government’s Volunteer Grants program.
Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said the group would receive $1700.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our Maranoa electorate, and these grants will go a long way to helping these organisations continue their important work,” Mr Littleproud said.
“Our communities are a better place because of the good work these groups do, and it gives me great pride to have helped secure this funding to give them a helping hand.
“I look forward to seeing what positive outcomes come from these latest grants.”
