The Anglican Archbishop of Brisbane, the Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall, will be making a pre-Christmas visit to Kingaroy in December.

It will be his first visit to the parish in eight years.

Archbishop Aspinall will conduct a Service of Holy Communion at St Michael and All Angels Church on Sunday, December 9, at 9:00am.

The service will be followed by a “bring-and-share-brunch” of finger foods.

Bishop for the Western Region, Bishop Cameron Venables, said the parish was delighted and honoured to have Archbishop Aspinall visit during the lead-up to Christmas celebrations.

“The Archbishop tries to visit parishes in each of the three diocese’s regions regularly, and it will be a great encouragement to the Kingaroy parish to have him visit,” Bishop Venables said.

“I encourage all Anglicans in the South Burnett to take this opportunity to share in worship and to meet the Archbishop over refreshments.”

Archbishop Aspinall last visited the Kingaroy parish in November 2010 for the centenary celebrations of St Michael and All Angels Church.
