The South Burnett Regional Council has reminded not-for-profit groups and artists that applications for funding from the first round of its Community Grants Program need to be submitted by next Friday, August 31.

Communities portfolio chair Cr Danita Potter said the current round covers the following grant programs:

  • Community Events Sponsorship
  • Community Hall Insurance Grant
  • Healthy Communities Sponsorship
  • Projects/Program One-off Sponsorship
  • Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)
  • School Student Awards

“This is our first round for this financial year, with Round 2 opening in February 2019”, Cr Potter said.

“Our Community Grants Program is aimed at building the capacity of our community groups and not-for-profit organisations who are delivering programs in our community.

“I encourage all community groups and not-for-profit organisations to get their applications in before the end of August.”

The Community Grant Program Policy and application forms are available on the Council’s website or from the Council’s Customer Service Centres.
