Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington is encouraging community groups and organisations to explore the new online grants system to apply for funding through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Applications for Round 127 are now open, with grants of up to $35,000 available for eligible projects and initiatives.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, delivering more than $60 million each year to support grassroots organisations and the vital work they do in communities across the state.
Mrs Frecklington said the latest funding round provided a valuable opportunity for local not-for-profit organisations to secure funding for projects that make a real difference in their communities.
“Local community organisations are the backbone of our region, and this funding helps ensure they have the resources they need to continue delivering important services, activities and opportunities for local residents,” Mrs Frecklington said.
“Whether it’s purchasing sporting equipment, upgrading community facilities, providing first aid training, hosting local events, or installing solar systems and shade sails, these grants can have a lasting impact.
“The new portal makes it easier than ever for organisations to understand the funding requirements, complete and track their applications and access support throughout the process.
“I encourage all eligible local groups to take a look at the funding available and consider how it could help deliver projects that strengthen our community.”
Applications for Round 127 will close on September 28, with successful recipients to be announced in December.
