South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Murgon Music Muster
The final day of the annual 5-day Murgon Music Muster will get underway at the Murgon PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon today with a bush poet's breakfast in the morning, then a Gospel Music Concert to conclude the muster that will wrap up at around noon. Entry to the Muster is $10 today (or $5 for children aged 5-14) and there'll also be a licensed bar and canteen operating on site. Camping sites (at $13 per person per night for powered sites or $10 pp/pn for unpowered sites) are also available if you want to stay over. Sunday High Tea - Wondai
Dimities Cottage in Haly Street, Wondai (opposite the Art Gallery) will be running their last High Tea for the year from 10:00am until 12:00 noon this morning. For $15 per head, guests can get to enjoy a great High Tea on the verandah (or indoors if its raining). However, numbers are limited so a booking is essential: (07) 4168-5744.
Open Mic Jam Session & Social Bowls - Kilkivan
The Kilkivan Bowls Club in Crescent Street, Kilkivan will be holding a free Open Mic Jam Session from 12:00 noon to around 4:00pm today. The club's bar and hot food will be available from noon, and barefoot social bowls will be happening on the greens from around 1:00pm (green fees for this are $8 for adults or $4 for students). Seussical The Musical Auditions
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be holding the first audition session for their March 2023 production of "Seussical The Musical" from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon in the the Dance Room (S3) of Kingaroy State High School (enter via the Markwell Street bus turnaround area). The Society is seeking people of all ages and experience levels for front and backstage roles in this production, and two further audition sessions will be held next weekend if you can't make today's. Proston Rally & Burnouts
The Proston Car Rally Club will be holding the second (and final) day of their quarterly Proston Rally at their racing track today (the club's track is located 7.5km west of Proston at 757 Proston-Boondooma Road). Racing will commence early this morning and wrap up around 2:30pm this afternoon. Up to 50 cars attend Proston Rally Club meetings from all over Queensland and NSW and spectators are very welcome. There'll also be a BBQ and soft drinks stand running throughout the event, as well as a hearty breakfast supplied by the Proston Lions club available early on Sunday morning. Hot showers, toilets and free camping are available on site too. Admission to the Rally just a gold coin donation for spectators and everyone is welcome! More details? Yarraman Country Music Friends
The Country Music Friends will be holding their first Sunday of the month informal concert at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman from 1:00pm this afternoon. This ACMA-affiliated club meets every month except January, and the $4 admission fee (U16s are free) includes a great afternoon tea. New players are always very welcome! More details? Sunday Bingo - Wondai

Junior Motorcycle Club Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club will be holding a weekend of racing on the main oval of Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this weekend to catch up with club days that were washed out earlier this year. The club is for young motorcycle riders aged 4 to 16. Today's racing action will run until around 3:00pm, and this will be followed by the 2022 Club Championships presentations. Spectators are very welcome to come along and watch for free.
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Popular South Burnett entertainer Amos Pellas duo will be performing at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 11:30am until 3:30pm tonday. The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. The Linville Progress Association will be running their first Sunday of the month BBQ brekkie on the verandah outside the Linville Hall in George Street, Linville from 7:00am to 10:30am this morning as a fundraiser. The brekkie offers a great sausage sizzle (sausage, fresh bread, onions and an egg if you want), and there are also raffles if you want to try your luck.
Pistols & Peanuts - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pistol Club will be holding the third (and final) day of their three-day ISSF and Blackpowder Open Shoot at their clubhouse at the corner of Harris and Redmans roads in Kingaroy today as part of this year's 60th anniversary celebrations.
