South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Open Garden - Brooklands
Greg and Joy Patch will be holding an Open Garden at their home at 86 Boldery Road in Brooklands from 8:30am to 3:00pm today as a fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation. Apart from a wonderful garden display, the event will also offer morning teas, a BBQ lunch and plant and craft stalls. Admission is $5 and everyone is welcome! More details? Sunday Poker - Kingaroy
Sunday afternoon poker games will be played at Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy today. Registrations start at 2:00pm and play begins at 2:30pm. All games are free to play and there are prizes for first, second and third. More details? Phone the RSL on (07) 4162-1755
Bunya Mountains Markets
The monthly Bunya Mountains Markets will be running at Dandabah in the Bunya Mountains today. The markets feature up to 30 stands selling quality, locally-produced fresh produce, arts and crafts and they'll be operating from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local cafes like Poppies On The Hill and The Bunya Mountains Cafe will be offering special Market Day menus and morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas, and walking trail maps will be available from both cafes, the Bunya Mountains General Store and market stalls if you'd like to take a walk through the adjoining National Park. Hivesville Country Markets
The monthly Hivesville Country Markets will be held at Memorial Park (opposite the Hivesville Hotel) from 6:00am to around noon this morning. These family-friendly markets are held on the 4th Sunday of every month and feature a variety of stalls including fresh local farm produce, plants, crafts and lots of food. New stallholders are very welcome, too!
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Snow Business - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be presenting their annual Christmas Concert - which is called "Snow Business" this year - at the Church of Christ at 254 Haly Street, Kingaroy from 4:00pm to 5:30pm this afternoon. The Chorale will be presenting songs from Europe and America ranging from the 14th century to the modern day, including a touch of Broadway. Tickets are just $10 (which includes afternoon tea) and they can be booked online or purchased at the door. Everyone is welcome!
Maidenwell RFB 52nd Birthday BBQ
Maidenwell's Rural Fire Brigade are celebrating their 52nd year of operations today by inviting all members and past members - plus their families - to a morning tea at the shed at 10:30am, followed by a free BBQ lunch around noon. Kilkivan Railway Markets
The monthly Kilkivan Railway Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon. Team Penning - Nanango
The Nanango Campdraft Committee will be holding the second (and final) day of a two day Team Penning competition at Nanango Showgrounds this weekend. The canteen will be open for refreshments; hot showers and toilet facilities are available onsite; powered and unpowered campsites are available in the grounds; and spectators are very welcome! Sunday Bingo - Wondai

Mock Show - Nanango
The South Burnett Western Performance Club will be holding a Mock Show at their grounds in Racecourse Road, Nanango from 8:00am until late today. Shane Massingham will be doing the judging, and entrants are welcome to register on the day ($30 for non-members or $20 for members). The Mock Show - a come and try event - will offer six Halter Class events and 20 Ridden Class events and will be run under PHAA rules. Spectators are welcome to come watch the action for free and the club's sausage sizzle will be operating for lunches.
Open Mic Afternoon - Wondai

Beyond Sippy Creek - Kilkivan
The Kilkivan Hotel in Bligh Street, Kilkivan will be hosting another of their monthly Sunday afternoon sessions in the hotel's beer garden from 2:00pm until late this afternoon, featuring the 4-piece country rock band Beyond Sippy Creek.
