Murgon CBD Markets
The monthly Murgon Markets will be held in Lamb Street in the heart of Murgon from 7:00am until about 12:00 noon today. Sunday Bingo - Wondai
Bingo games will be held at the Wondai RSL in Mackenzie Street, Wondai this afternoon, with eyes down from 1:30pm. There will be 3 jackpots and 15 games on offer, and the kitchen will be open for light meals. Proceeds will go to help Wondai RSL veterans. More details? Phone (07) 4168-5297.
Open Garden - Goodger
Bill and Sandra Steffensen will be holding an Open Garden at their home at 391 Haly Creek Road in Goodger from 9:30am to 3:30pm today as a fundraiser for the Leukaemia Foundation. Apart from a wonderful garden display of roses, ornamentals, fruit trees and raised veggie beds, the event will also offer morning teas and light lunches prepared by Kumbia QCWA, and a plant and craft stall. No dogs are allowed and since the garden has water features, children need to be supervised. Admission is $5 and everyone is welcome!
Timbertowns Woodworkers - Blackbutt
The Timbertowns Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Seussical The Musical Auditions
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be holding its third (and final) audition session for their March 2023 production of "Seussical The Musical" from 1:00pm to 2:30pm this afternoon in the the Dance Room (S3) of Kingaroy State High School (enter via the Markwell Street bus turnaround area). The Society is seeking people of all ages and experience levels for front and backstage roles in this production. You can read more about this show on our website. Matt Wild & Oran - Linville
Entertainers Matt Wild and Oran will be performing at the Linville Hotel in George Street, Linville from 11:00am until 3:30pm today. The hotel's kitchen will also be operating from 11:00am until late for lunch and snacks and there's free camping across the road if you want to stay overnight. More details? Open Mic Jam Session & Social Bowls - Kilkivan
The Kilkivan Bowls Club in Crescent Street, Kilkivan will be holding a free Open Mic Jam Session from 12:00 noon to around 4:00pm today. The club's bar and hot food will be available from noon, and barefoot social bowls will be happening on the greens from around 1:00pm (green fees for this are $8 for adults or $4 for students). Sunday Cricket
Round 2 of the Wide Bay Intercity Challenge will be played at the Murgon Sportsgrounds in Macalister Street, Murgon from 9:00am this morning. The event will feature U12s, U14s and U16s games between the South Burnett and Bundaberg, and spectators are very welcome to come watch the action.
Kumbia Museum
The Kumbia and District Historical Society's museum, located in the Federation Heritage Centre behind Kumbia Hall in Bell Street, will be open from 1:30pm to 3:30pm this afternoon.
