12th Annual Maidenwell Folk Gathering
The third (and final) day of the 12th annual Maidenwell Folk Gathering will get underway around 10:00am this morning at King's Hotel in Maidenwell and continue right through until late this afternoon. The Folk Gathering is a pure folk music event (ie fully acoustic - no electrics are allowed) and because of this has built up a very loyal following over the years. A highlight of today's Festival activities will be an open-air jam session at Coomba Falls (which has received some terrific inflows from the recent rains). The Festival itself is completely free to attend and there's also free camping available around the hotel. Lots of great food will be available too but no BYO is allowed - you'll need to get your reasonably priced supplies from Kings if you want to party hard really hard. More details? Contact the hotel on (07) 4164-6133
