 The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its latest 6-weekly Meet & Greet outside the offices of Taste South Burnett, GJ Gardner Homes and Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington in Alford Street, Kingaroy at 5:15pm tonight (function starts at 5:30pm). South Burnett Tourism Association president Bernie Cooper will be a special guest speaker at this month's meeting, and he'll be talking about the Tourism Ambassador training program the SBTA would like to run in Kingaroy. Elsie & Norm's Macbeth - Nanango
 The Nanango Theatre Company will be staging the first performance of their latest production "Elsie And Norm's Macbeth" at the Nanango Opera House at the corner of Elk and George Streets, Nanango at 7:00pm this evening (performance starts at 7:30pm sharp). The new play is a comedy in two acts by British playwright John Wood about the hilarious misadventures of an elderly couple, Elsie and Norm, who decide to share some “culture” with their neighbours by staging Shakespeare’s “Scottish play” in their lounge room, with some updates to make it snappier. Tonight's performance is a Supper Night and tickets are $20 for adults or $15 concessions.  The Kingaroy Clay Target will be hosting the 2014 Australian Clay Target Association Commonwealth Clay Target Carnival at their range on the Kingaroy-Cooyar Road in Kingaroy today and all this weekend. This major event has previously been held in Perth and Darwin, and this will be the first time it's ever been held in Queensland. The Carnival will draw top trap shooters from all over Australia. And if you often pause when you talk, consider changing your pauses to "Arrrrs" instead of "Errrrs" to keep in tune with the day's spirit. The second (and final) day of the Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 9:00am and 12:00 noon today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. 2014 UAV Challenge - Kingaroy
 The first day of the five-day UAV Challenge (2014 Outback Rescue) will be held at Kingaroy Airport on the Goodger Road south-west of Kingaroy today. The Challenge is an international competition for unmanned aerial vehicles (ie robot planes) and is open to all Australian high school students, university students and UAV enthusiasts. This year teams will be competing for up to $50,000 in prize monies between now and Friday, and spectators are very welcome to go out to Kingaroy Airport to watch the action close-up. Today's activities will largely focus on warm-ups - things like registration, briefings, static scrutineering and team presentaions - but there'll be scrutineering flights running between 12:00 noon and 6:00pm.  The Many Threads craft group will be holding the first day of a free, two-day "Deadly Bras For Deadly Women" workshop at Boys Dormitory at The Ration Shed Museum complex in Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg from 9:30am to 3:30pm today (and also tomorrow). This quirky, fun workshop is for all women and will focus on decorating bras and underwear which will be displayed in a "Deadly Bras" exhibition that will be run in November this year as part of a breast cancer awareness campaign.
