South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
QCWA Country Kitchens - Kingaroy
The second workshop from QCWA Country Kitchens will be held at the Kingaroy QCWA Hall in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy at 9:30am this morning (the workshop starts at 10:00am and runs until noon). This new program from the QCWA teaches participants how to cook healthy foods in a fun environment, and also provides qualified food and nutrition advice along the way. There are five monthly workshops in the full $50 course, and all participants receive a shopping bag, apron, tea-towel and nutrition information along with a cooked meal at the end of each workshop they can either eat for lunch or take home with them. Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango

Makers, Bakers & Growers Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be running the weekly Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett and surrounding areas, along with great hand-crafted pizzas, and are now held at the rear of the Broadway Hotel in Glendon Street, Kingaroy (opposite Shoppingworld) between 9:00am and 5:30pm. Kumbia Community Morning Tea
The Kumbia Progress Association will be holding their monthly Community Morning Tea at 10:00am this morning at the Kumbia QCWA rooms in Bell Street. Everyone is welcome along to this free get-together for residents who live in and around the Kumbia area, and you can enjoy some laughs and a great morning tea at no charge.
Thursday Night League Training - Kingaroy
Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon
Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 2:30pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. Blackbutt-Benarkin Community Council Meeting
The Blackbutt-Benarkin Community Council will be holding its regular monthly meeting at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street at 7:00pm this evening. The BBCC is a community organisation that works to assist other groups in their efforts to develop Blackbutt and its surrounding areas, and new members are always welcome. Thursday Night AFL Training - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Saints AFL Club will be holding their regular Thursday night training session at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy (just next to Beangrowers) at 5:30pm.

The Kingaroy Community Kitchen will be holding its regular Thursday morning meeting at St Mary's Hall at 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy from 9:30am to around 1:00pm today. Community Kitchen members learn how to cook a variety of budget conscious home-cooked meals, then sit down together for a communal lunch afterwards to enjoy the results for the cost of a gold coin donation. Yarrabutt Challenge - Yarraman
The Yarraman Bowls Club in Margaret Street will be holding the first round of their new Yarrabutt Challenge at 10:00am this morning (play starts at 10:30am). The Challenge is for Yarraman and Blackbutt district bowlers and will take the form of one game of 18 ends with 2 points for the end and 5 for the win. This is a mixed gender event and all players are asked to bring a plate for a shared lunch, plus an $8 green fee (tea, coffee and biscuits will be supplied for morning tea). More details? Glenn Lazarus Team - Kingaroy
Senator Glenn Lazarus and Senate candidate Kerrod Walters will be visiting Kingaroy's Carrollee Hotel in King Street from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for dips and drinks. MBDA Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Business and Development Association will be holding their latest monthly meeting for 2016 at the Royal Hotel at the corner of Gore and Lamb Streets at 6:30am this morning (entry is via Gore Street). Breakfast is $15 per head plus $4 for coffee, and an RSVP to Margaret on (07) 4168-2922 by 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 8 would be greatly appreciated for catering purposes. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
