Facebook For Seniors Workshop - Goomeri
A free Facebook For Seniors workshop will be held at the Goomeri Hall Of Memory's Supper Room in Boonara Street, Goomeri from 9:00am to noon this morning. The workshop will teach participants how to use Facebook to stay in touch with family and friends, and a free morning tea and wi-fi will be provided (BYO laptop - but some laptops will be available if you don't have one). Workshop numbers are strictly limited to 16 participants, though, so you'll need to RSVP no later than Friday, June 17 if you want to take part. Tuesday Night League Training - Kingaroy
Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
Kingaroy Photographic Club

Nanango Scout Club Meeting
The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy
The Tuesday night men's basketball competition will be running at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium from 4:30pm onwards this evening. Five A-grade and six B-grade sides will battle it out, and spectators are very welcome.

Diabetes Workshop - Cherbourg
A free diabetes workshop will be held the Boys’ Dormitory in the Ration Shed Museum in Barambah Avenue, Cherbourg from 9:30am to 2:30pm today. Diabetes Queensland educator Grace Ward and actor Anthony Newcastle will host a day of discussion and storytelling to help people find out more about what they can do to live well with diabetes. The workshop is free and a free lunch will be available for all guests too, but to help plan the catering an RSVP is essential. Customer & Visitor Experience Workshop - Murgon
South Burnett Directions will be holding the first of a two-session "Customer and Visitor Experience Workshop" at the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon at 5:30pm to 8:30pm this evening. The workshop is aimed at small businesses who want to provide better customer service to both locals and tourists, and the $50 course fee includes snacks and supper.
