KCCI Meet & Greet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding its fourth Meet & Greet for 2016 at Kingaroy Joinery at 94-96 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy at 5:15pm this evening (meeting gets underway at 5:30pm). Tonight's meet & greet will be addressed by Kingaroy Joinery's managing director Darrin Kefford. Sandy Towell, from the Nanango Arts Network Alliance, will also be talking about a state-wide touring exhibition of South Burnett art that will be hitting the road this September, while Sharyn Garrett from South Burnett Directions will be giving an update on the "Shop Local" promotion the South Burnett Regional Council is currently putting together. A $10 admission fee applies (to cover drinks and nibbles) and everyone is welcome, whether they're KCCI members or not. PS: To help plan the catering, an email RSVP to KCCI secretary Paula Greenwood by June 5 would be greatly appreciated.
Tuesday Morning Croquet - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Croquet Club will be playing croquet games at the rear of the Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman Street, Kingaroy from 9:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. New members are always welcome and free lesson are available. More details? Phone Chris on (07) 4164-4380.
Art Exhibition Opening - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Winter Craft Festival will be officially opened at the Kingaroy Art Gallery in Haly Street, Kingaroy (opposite the peanut silos) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm this evening. The two-month long festival, which runs from June 2 to July 31, features exhibitions, demonstrations, make and take activities and workshops. The official opening will be performed by South Burnett Mayor Keith Campbell and a full program of events will be available at the Gallery too. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
Tuesday Night League Training - Kingaroy
Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
Country Crafters Meeting - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Country Crafters will be holding their regular Tuesday morning meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 9:30am to 2:00pm today. Nanango Scout Club Meeting
The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). South Burnett Chorale - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be holding their regular Tuesday practice night at the Church of Christ Hall at the corner of Haly and Burnett Streets in Kingaroy from 7:00pm to 9:00pm this evening. Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy
The Tuesday night men's basketball competition will be running at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium from 4:30pm onwards this evening. Five A-grade and six B-grade sides will battle it out, and spectators are very welcome.
Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. Tuesday Night Dance Lessons - Kumbia

Maidenwell QCWA Meeting
The Maidenwell branch of the QCWA will be holding their monthly meeting at the Maidenwell Hall Supper Room from 8:45am this morning (when things will kick off with a welcoming cuppa) through until this afternoon. The branch meeting itself will commence at 9:30am and all ladies in the Maidenwell and Bunya Mountains areas are very welcome to come along and meet the other branch members! ATO Community Information Session - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Library in Glendon Street will be hosting a free community information session from the Australian Taxation Office at 11:00am this morning. Topics covered will include how to protect your personal information, myGov and myTax and how to navigate the ATO’s online services, app and atoTV. Information about deduction eligibility will also be discussed, and you should bring along your smart phone if you have one. A light morning tea will be provided at the end of the session and to assist catering, an RSVP would be appreciated. You can make one by phoning the library on (07) 4189-9256.
