South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
The Stepping Stones - Wondai
The fabulous Stepping Stones - Sue Bradley and Geoff Grevell - will be performing in concert at the Wondai Diggers Club from 6:30pm until late tonight. There'll be 60/40 dancing, country rock and line dancing, and meals will be available from the club's kitchen from 6:00pm too. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
Lake Boondooma Brawl
The third day of the 4-day Lake Boondooma Brawl - the sixth qualifying round of the 8-round B.A.S.S. Australia Nation Pro Series - will be held at Lake Boondooma near Proston today.
Friendship Markets - Kingaroy
The third Saturday of the month Friendship Markets will be held at the Senior Citizens Centre in Avoca Street, Kingaroy from 7:00am to around 12:00pm today. Yarraman Kindergarten Cent Auction
The Yarraman Kindergarten will be holding their annual Cent Auction at the Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street, Yarraman this morning as a fundraiser. Doors will open at 8:00am the the first bids will start at 10:00am sharp. There'll be 150 really good items on offer ranging from holiday vouchers to beauty and auto products, home cooking and theme parks along with a great BBQ that will be running throughout the day. Admission is $5 for adults or $2 for children aged 2-12 (which includes morning tea, a free sheet of tickets and a Lucky Door entry) and everyone's welcome! More details? Under The Sea Trivia Night - Kingaroy
The RSPCA will be holding an "Under The Sea Trivia Night" at the Anglican Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy from 6:30pm until late tonight. Tickets are $10 per head or $60 for a table of eight, and everyone is welcome. More details? Phone the RSPCA on (07) 4162-5501.
Saturday Soccer - Kingaroy and Wondai
After a week's break for Zone Championships, Round 10 of the 2016 South Burnett Football League competition will be played at Tom Alford Oval at the end of Oliver Bond Street in Kingaroy, and at the Wondai Soccer Fields off the Bunya Highway north of Wondai today. In Kingaroy, Wests will play Gunners with 2nd Division hitting the park at 2:00pm; Women's Division at 3:30pm; and 1st Division at 5:00pm. And in Wondai, Barambah will play Nanango's Panthers in 2nd Division at 12:30pm, Women's Division at 2:00pm and 1st Division at 3:15pm. Spectators and supporters are very welcome at both venues. Meanwhile, Junior Soccer matches will be played at the Nanango Soccer Fields in Burnett Street this morning.
Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman St, Kingaroy will be running bingo matches from 7:30pm this evening with over $1000 in prizes on offer. More details from the club on (07) 4162-1404
Saturday Rugby League - Wondai, Murgon and Cherbourg
Rugby league fans will need to head north today - but they'll have a choice of two A-grade matches (one in Murgon, one in Cherbourg), while junior games will be running at Wondai, Murgon and Cherbourg. In Wondai, the U6s/U8s Wondai Wolves will hit the Wondai Sportsgrounds oval at 9:00am to play the Nanango Stags, followed by the U10s at 10:00am and the U12s at 11:00am. Then at noon, the U14s Wondai Wolves will play Cherbourg's Hornets. In Murgon, the action will start later in the day at 5:00pm when the U14s Murgon Mustangs play the Kingaroy Red Ants. This will be followed by an A-grade clash between the Mustangs and Mundubbera at 6:00pm. And in Cherbourg, the U6s/U8s Hornets will play Kingaroy's Red Ants at 9:00am, followed by the U10s at 10:00am, U12s at 11:00am, U14s at noon, U16s at 1:00pm and U18s at 2:00pm. This will be followed by an A-grade clash between the Hornets and Monto at 3:30pm. Canteens will be running at all three venues and spectators are very welcome! Note: A third A-grade match scheduled for today between the Nanango Stags and Eidsvold has been cancelled after Eidsvold forfeited.
Winter, Woolies & Wigs - Kumbia
The Burrumbuttock Hay Runners will be holding "Winter, Woolies and Wigs" at the Kumbia Hotel in Bell Street, Kumbia from 6:00pm until late tonight. The event is a fundraiser for the local hay runners to take their next convoy of supplies to drought-stricken farmers in western Queensland, and it will feature a two-course dinner, live entertainment, raffles, a silent auction and a prize for the best wig. South Burnett Chorale 20th Anniversary Concert - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with a concert, mini cent auction and an afternoon tea at St John's Lutheran Church Hall at the corner of Youngman and Markwell Streets in Kingaroy at 2:00pm today. Admission is just $10 - which includes a free sheet of tickets - and children aged 12 or under can get in for free, Everyone is welcome!

The South Burnett Woodcrafters will be holding their regular Saturday morning meeting at their clubhouse, which is located behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street from 8:00am to around mid-day today.
