Wednesday Night Tennis - Blackbutt
The Blackbutt Tennis Club in Hart Street, Blackbutt will be holding a 45-minute social tennis games from 5:00pm tonight. Anyone of any age and fitness level is welcome, and a racquet will be supplied if you don't have one. Cost is $5 and bookings aren't required. Note: Today is the last day you can RSVP to attend a lunch at the Blackbutt Tennis Courts this Sunday, September 10 to celebrate the official opening of the resurfaced second court (see entry that day for all details). Kingaroy Men's Shed
The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be holding their regular Wednesday morning meeting at the old Motor Pool building off Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport from 9:00am to around noon today. The group meet every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday morning and new members and visitors are always welcome.
Wednesday Afternoon Cards - Mondure
The Mondure Past Time Club will be hosting card games at Mondure Hall in McConnell Way, Mondure from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon. New players are always welcome.

Mobile Women’s Health Nurses - Widgee
Darling Downs Hospital & Health's mobile women's health nurses will be at the Widgee Community Centre from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today to provide a range of free services including cervical screening tests, breast awareness, sexual health testing and advice for issues such as continence, menopause, family planning, contraception and general wellbeing. Wondai Stitch & Chat
The Stitch & Chat social group will be holding their monthly meeting at the Wondai Library in Mackenzie Street, Wondai at 2:00pm this afternoon. The Blackbutt Camera Club will be holding a meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 4:00pm to 7:45pm this evening. The club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month except December and January. The first Wednesday is devoted to practical photography (bring your own camera and equipment) and the third Wednesday to a review of those images and talks and tips on software (bring your laptop), followed by a committee meeting at 7:45pm. Line Dancing - Blackbutt
A line dancing class will be held at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Bowman Road, Blackbutt at 9:30am to 11:30am this morning. Classes are held every Wednesday and new dancers are always welcome.
Wednesday Night Dance Classes
Dance classes will be held at Inverlaw Hall on Burrandowan Road at Inverlaw from 7:30pm tonight. The South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club will be holding their regular Wednesday meeting at their club's Wondai workshop in the old Wondai Railway Station at Coronation Park in the town's CBD from 5:30pm to around 7:30pm tonight. The club embraces all aspects of lapidary (including gem hunting and cutting) and meets every Monday and Thursday in Kingaroy, with Wednesday workshops in Wondai for faceting and silverwork. You Choose Road Safety Night - Wondai
CANCELLED: The CTC Youth Crew and Wondai Neighbourhood Watch will be hosting a "You Choose Road Safety Night" for young people aged 15 to 24 at the Wondai Memorial Hall in Mackenzie Street, Wondai this afternoon and evening. The event will start at 3:00pm with a two hour Prep L session that will provide support to young people who need assistance to get their driver's licence, followed by a driver safety session and a free dinner from 5:00pm to 7:00pm to pass on important tips about road safety. The evening is free but to help plan the catering an RSVP is necessary. You can make one by phoning CTC Youth on (07) 4162-7788. Note: Thjis event was cancelled on August 24.

Alcoholics Anonymous - Murgon
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Murgon every Wednesday and Friday at 12:30pm at the Baptist Church at 94 MacAlister Street, and members who can't make it in person can join in the meeting online via Zoom. South Burnett Pantry - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Pantry will be open from 8:30am to 12:00 noon today at 1A (Lot 3) Railway Terrace in Kingaroy. The Pantry is a not-for-profit registered charity run by a Board of Management and staffed by volunteers, and it helps low income families, couples and singles stretch their shopping dollar further. The Pantry offers $40 pantry hampers that contain most of the food and personal cleaning items that most people need to get through part of the week (though you'll need to shop elsewhere for extras or special items).
