Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally
- The first day of the two-day Kingaroy & District Vintage Machinery Club Rally will be held at the club's grounds along Geoff Raph Drive at Kingaroy Airport between 8:00am and 5:00pm today. The rally attracts vintage machinery enthusiasts from all over South East Queensland and there'll be a huge range of antique machinery on display including cars, tractors, trucks, crawlers and stationary engines. Other highlights include a Grand Parade, slow tractor races, sled pulling, ploughing, ring events and much, much more! If you're hungry, there'll be a barbecue, food and drink stalls operating all day too. This year's event also celebrates 100 years McCormick Farmall tractors and there'll be a special display of these in the grounds as well. Admission today is $10, but under-16s can get in for free.
Long Drive Golf Competition - Nanango
- The Nanango Golf Club on the D'Aguilar Highway north of Nanango's CBD will be running its Long Drive Competition today to raise funds for the Make A Wish Foundation. The event is open to juniors (U10s to U16s), men (U30 and 30 ), women (U60) and seniors (60 ) and it will offer $3000 in prize money. Entry is $25 (or $5 for U16s) and pre-registration is essential. Murgon Men's Shed
- The Murgon Men's Shed will be holding their regular Saturday meeting at their shed in Macalister Street, Murgon (the shed next to the former Murgon Railway Station) today. The Men's Shed meets every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday to work on a variety of projects and new members are always welcome.
Proston Country Markets
- The monthly Proston Country Markets - organised by the Proston Show Society and held on the 3rd Saturday of each month - will be running oputside the QCWA Rooms at Railway Park in Rodney Street, Proston from 8:00am to around noon this morning. Stalls feature everything from craftwork to baked goods and bric-a-brac are are always fun to browse. There'll also be a great BBQ breakfast and Devonshire morning teas available, as well as a large fruit and veggie tray raffle. Saturday Line Dancing - Wooroolin
- Line dancing classes will be held at Wooroolin Hall on the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin this morning. Classes will run from 9:00am to 10:00am (beginners) and 10:30am to 12:30pm (improvers) and a small dancing fee applies to either class. Everyone is welcome.
Yarraman Markets
- The Yarraman Progress Association's Yarraman Markets will be held on the vacant block at the corner of the D'Aguilar and New England Highways (ie opposite Bendigo Bank) in Yarraman from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets - now held on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Saturday each month - feature trash and treasure stalls, car boot sellers, local produce and hand-made goods, as well as food stalls. Yarraman Men's Shed

Moore Hall Markets
- The monthly Moore Markets will be held outside the Moore Soldiers Memorial Hall off the D'Aguilar Highway in Moore from 8:00 to around 12:00 noon this morning. The markets feature hand painted china; hand made jewellery; hand crafted dolls; quilts; biscuit tin banjos; jade; wooden toys; delightful handmade bags; plants; bric-a-brac; antiques and collectables; tea cosies; baby clothes; tea towels; candles; soaps; cakes; jams and pickles, and more. There's also great brekkies available inside the Hall. Everyone is welcome!
Cent Auction - Kingaroy
- The Kingaroy District Indoor Bowls Association will be holding a Cent Auction at the Kingaroy QCWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (just next to the RSL) today. Judy Small - Taabinga
- Famous Australian singer and songwriter Judy Small will be performing in concert at Taabinga Homestead at 7 Old Taabinga Road in Haly Creek from 3:00pm this afternoon. Judy is a Mo award winning folk singer (and retired Federal Circuit Court judge) who has produced more than a dozen albums over her 50 year career. Tickets to her 2.5 hour concert are $30 for adults or $20 for concessions and they can be booked online

Back To Yarraman Reunion
- A "Back To Yarraman" reunion for past and present residents will be held in today, starting at 8:00am at Yarraman's Heritage House at 26 Millar Street with a billy tea and damper $3 sausage sizzle. This will be followed by a roll call and registrations at 9:30am, and then an official welcome at 10:00am. After this, the action will move to Yarraman Memorial Hall in Browne Street for morning tea at 11:30am, after which guests are free to spend the rest of the day exploring the town, enjoying the markets in the Errol Munt Reserve or taking a gold coin donation 30-minute bus ride around the town (which will operate from 10:30am to 12:30pm from Heritage House).
