NAIDOC Week At US Mob - Cherbourg
Cherbourg radio station US Mob 94.1FM will be holding a NAIDOC Week celebration in the back yard of its Barambah Avenue studios from 12:00 noon onwards today. There'll be a barbecue and sausage sizzle, plus a live broadcast, live music and South Burnett CTC’s games van “MERV” on site. NAIDOC Week - a celebration of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander cultures - runs from July 5-12, and today's get-together is a warm-up for Cherbourg's big NAIDOC Week celebrations at The Ration Shed Museum and in the Chebourg Health service's grounds tomorrow. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.
Arts & Crafts Workshop - Nanango
The Winds Of Change Art Gallery in George Street, Nanango will be running a school holiday Arts & Crafts for children between 10:00am and 11:30am this morning. Children get to use textiles cand paints to create a masterpiece at this morning's class and the workshop is completely free, but there'll be a $5 charge for materials - and children under 10 must be supervised by a responsible adult. Warren Truss - Murgon, Goomeri, Kilkivan and Widgee
Federal Member for Wide Bay and Deputy Prime Minisiter Warren Truss will be taking interviews on matters of local concern at Murgon, Goomeri, Kilkivan and Widgee today. Mr Truss will be at the old Murgon Shire Council offices in Gore Street, Murgon at 10:30am; Goomeri's SES Shed in Dickinson Park in Moore Street at noon; the former Kilkivan Shire Council chambers in Bligh Street, Kilkivan at 2:00pm; and the Widgee Community Complex at 3:30pm. 43kg Rugby League Carnival - Murgon
The Murgon Rugby League Club will he hosting first day of the 5-day 43Kg Carnival at the Murgon Sportsgrounds in Macalister Street, Murgon from 8:30am this morning through to late this afternoon. Junior footballers from all over Queensland will be taking part in this annual event - Murgon are the host town this year - and spectators are very welcome. You can read more about it on our website
Kumbia Hall Committee Meeting
The Kumbia Hall Committee will be holding its first Monday of the month meeting in the meeting room at the front of Kumbia Hall in Bell Street at 8:00pm this evening. New members are very welcome! Monday Evening Bingo - Blackbutt
Bingo games will be held at Nukku Nook at the head of the Blackbutt Rail Trail in Hart Street, Blackbutt from 7:00pm this evening (eyes down at 7:30pm sharp). Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
