Taromeo Country Music Club Social - Blackbutt
The Taromeo Country Music Club will be holding their third bi-monthly Sunday social for 2015 at the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 10:00am to around 4:00pm today. Entertainment will be provided by the visiting and guest artists (today, the popular Blue Denim CMC). There'll also be multi-draw raffles, a lucky door prize, a licensed bar, plenty of food and refreshments, a licensed bar and - of course! - lots of great country music and dancing. Blackbutt Lions Country Markets
- The Blackbutt Lions Country Markets - run on the third Sunday of every month - will be held next to the Blackbutt Community Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 7:00am until around mid-day today. The markets offer a wide range of locally produced arts, crafts and and freshly harvested foodstuffs and everyone is welcome along!
Sunday Rugby League - Kingaroy
If you're a League fan, the place to go today is TJ O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy, which will be holding four matches: an Under-14s game at 10:30am between the Kingaroy Red Ants and Murgon Mustangs; then an Under-16s match between the Red Ants and Mustangs at 11:30am. These will be followed by an Under-18s clash between the Murgon Mustangs and Caboolture at 12:45pm, and then an A-Grade tussle between the Red Ants and Murgon Mustangs at 2:00pm. A canteen and bar will be running all day, and spectators and supporters are very welcome. Note: This week's games have been moved from Saturday to Sunday because of a temporary shortage of referees on Saturday. Matches are expected to return to normal next week.

- The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Moffatdale Centenary 7 A Side Cricket Day
- The Moffatdale State School Centenary committee will be holding a 7 A Side Cricket Day at Moffatdale State School on Barambah Road, Moffatdale from 8:00am to 5:00pm today as a fundraiser for the school's Centenary celebrations on October 31. Cost per player is $20 - which includes a burger and a drink - and a first prize of $200 will be on offer, as well as many other prizes and raffles.
