Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch AGM
The Kingaroy QCWA Twilight Branch will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the QCWA Rooms next to Kingaroy RSL in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy from 6:00pm to around 7:30pm tonight. The Twilight Branch is a new branch of the QCWA which is designed for working women and busy mums, and Dr Deborah Tellam will be a special guest speaker at tonight's meeting. Dr Tellam wil be speaking about women's health issues, and her talk will be followed by a supper. The Twilight Branch is open to all women who'd like to take part in QCWA activities and/or find out more about this highly respected community organisation. New members are always very welcome! Tuesday Morning Croquet - Kingaroy

Where Friends Meet - Murgon
Murgon's "Where Friends Meet" group will be getting together at the air-conditioned Uniting Church Hall at 50 Gore Sreet at 10:00am this morning. Today's meeting will be kicking off with a warming morning tea (soup, this time) and this will be followed by a talk on herbs ("How to Herb up Your Life”) by special guest speaker Lyn Vlaanderen. Tuesday Night AFL Training
The South Burnett Saints men's and women's AFL teams will be holding their regular Tuesday night training session at Lyle Vidler Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy at 5:45pm tonight. Extra women's players are very welcome, and so are spectators.
Tuesday Night Basketball - Kingaroy
The second season of the Kingaroy Basketball Association's 2015 basketball competition will be kicking off at the Indoor Sports Stadium at Kingaroy State High School in Toomey Street this evening. Matches will kick off with Miniball (for players aged 5-8 years) from 3:45pm to 4:45pm, and Juniors (for players aged 9-14 years) from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. After this, matches for the the A and B grades of the seniors competition will run from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Potential new players and spectators are both very welcome! Note: A muster for the Women's Competition will be held at the same venue tomorrow night at 6:00pm. The competition itself will start on Wednesday, August 5 between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.
Tuesday Social Dancing - Kingaroy
A social dance featuring Old Time and New Vogue styles will be held at the CWA Hall in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy between 6:00pm and 9:00pm this evening. Admission is $5, which includes tea and a light supper. More details? Phone Derrick on (07) 4163-6294

Nanango Scout Club Meeting
The Nanango Scout Club - which meets every Tuesday night during school terms - will be holding its regular weekly meeting at the Scout Den at 40 Henry Street, Nanango (just next to the police station) from 5:30pm to around 7:00pm tonight. The group currently has three sections in operation: Joeys (for children aged 6 to 8 years); Cubs (8-11 years); and Scouts (11-15 years). The Kingaroy Men's Shed will be open from 9:00am to 12:00 noon and 2:00pm to 4:00pm today behind the Salvation Army's headquarters at 44 Alford Street in Kingaroy. The shed is open to all men who'd enjoy the companionship of other men while undertaking woodwork, metalwork or similar projects or who'd just enjoy a chat. More details? Danny's Diner - Kingaroy
Danny's Diner - a free community dinner - will be held at the Uniting Church Hall at the corner of Alford and Youngman streets in Kingaroy from 5:30pm to 7:00pm tonight. The dinner is an initiative of the Kingaroy District Ministry Association for the benefit of anyone who's hungry or otherwise doing it tough. The Proston Over 50s Club will be holding their regular third Tuesday of the month meeting and social at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street from 10:00am onwards today.
