South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Graham Rodger In Concert - Blackbutt
Award-winning country music artist Graham Rodger will perform in concert at the Blackbutt Showgrounds at the end of Hart Street in Blackbutt from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon, supported by the Sempf Family Singers. The concert is a fundraiser for the Blackbutt District Tourism and Heritage Association to help them renovate the relocated Nukku Siding as part of the heritage precinct they're developing around the railhead, and will be a first for country music lovers in the area. Tickets to the concert are $20 and bookings can be made by phoning Iris on (07) 4163-0244 or by email.
Kilkivan Markets
The weekly Kilkivan Markets will be held in Lester Millar Park in Kilkivan from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon this morning. Timbertown Woodworkers Group - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers group will be holding their regular Sunday morning meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:30am until around 12:00 noon today. Clean Up Australia Day - Kingaroy
Today is Clean Up Australia Day, and Mayoral candidate Sheena Lindholm will be organising a clean-up of Apex Park in upper Fisher Street, Kingaroy from 9:30am to 10:30am this morning. If you'd like to take part, you should meet at the BBQ shelter in the park. BYO water bottle, hat, sunscreen and garden gloves. The clean-up will include both Apex Park and the adjoining Carroll Nature Reserve and will be followed by a morning tea, but an RSVP would be appreciated for catering purposes. You can make one by email. Alternately, if you prefer to get up earlier, the South Burnett Regional Council will be holding a clean-up of the Senior Citizens Park and the roadside between SupaIGA and the Taabinga State School from 7:00am this morning. If you'd like to take part, you should meet in the SupaIGA car park at 7:00am.
Clean Up Australia Day - Nanango
Nanango's Clean Up Australia Day efforts today will focus on Reg McCallum Park (immediately behind Nanango RSL and the Nanango Aquatic Centre). A clean-up will be held between 9:00am and 12:00 noon and if you'd like to take part you should BYO hat, water bottle, sunscreen and garden gloves. Everyone is welcome!
Clean Up Australia Day - Blackbutt
Blackbutt's Clean Up Australia Day activities will tackle Coulson Street, Bowman Road and Crumpton Drive between 9:00am and 11:00am this morning. If you'd like to take part, you should meet up at The Fragile Web at the corner of Coulson and Sutton Streets. BYO hat, water, sunscreen and garden gloves.
