Blackbutt Camera Club Meeting
The Blackbutt Camera Club will be holding a meeting at the Uniting Church Hall in Coulson Street, Blackbutt from 4:00pm to 8:00pm this evening. The club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of every month except December and January. The first Wednesday is devoted to practical photography (bring your own camera and equipment) and the third Wednesday to a review of those images and talks and tips on software (bring your laptop), followed by a committee meeting at 7:00pm. Kingaroy Girl Guides Meeting
The Kingaroy Girl Guides Troop will be meeting at the Guides Hut in Mant Street, Kingaroy this afternoon. U9s will meet from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, and seniors (ages 10-18) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Nanango Country Quilters & Crafts Group
The Nanango Country Quilters And Crafts group meet every Wednesday at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango between 9:00am to 2:00pm. Members can get to pursue a wide variety of crafts at these informal gatherings and the $3 meeting fee includes morning tea (but BYO cup and lunch). There's also usually a raffle as well. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Wednesday Morning Bridge - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bridge Club will be holding their regular Wednesday morning bridge games at the pavilion nearest to town inside the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street from 9:00am to 1:00pm today. Seniors Having A Ball - Murgon
The South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon will be holding a "Seniors Having A Ball" exercise class from 8:30am to 9:30am this morning. The program is designed to address the issues that many have with ageing and it's not just for seniors! It provides light exercise to keep the heart and joints moving, improving coordination and mobility. It also provides a beginner platform to start any fitness activity on. As well as physical fitness, it also has a fun social atmosphere too. The class fee is just $4 for PCYC members or $7 for non-members. More details? The Graham House Community Garden group will be meeting at the Graham House Community Centre at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 10:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. The group tends a community garden and meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month during school terms. Man Cave - Kingaroy
The Sister Dolores Carroll Training Centre at St Mary's Catholic College at 10 Kent Street in Kingaroy will be transforming into a "Man's Cave" between 6:30pm and 10:00pm tonight. Qualified instructors will be demonstrating the use of all the equipment in the centre - great stuff like lathes, drills etc - and if you're a man interested in restoring or manufacturing wood or metal products and socialising with other men who have similar interests, then this could be the place for you! Goomeri SES Meeting
The Goomeri SES will be holding their regular Wednesday night training session at the SES Building in Dickinson Park, Goomeri from 6:30pm to around 8:30pm tonight. The Nanango Funfest will be holding its Annual General Meeting at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango at 7:00pm this evening. After the huge success of Nanango's New Years Eve Mardi Gras last year, the group are seeking more people to join and help make the event even bigger and better in 2016. Everyone is welcome!

The Nanango and District Kincd4ergarten will be holding a function at the Kindy at 34 Gipps Street, Nanango at 1:30pm this afternoon to honour 25 years service by teacher Julie Timms. Asbestos Related Disease Information Session - Kingaroy
An Asbestos Related Disease Information Session will be held at Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street, Kingaroy from 10:15am to 12:00 noon today. The meeting has been organised by the Asbestos Disease Support Society (ADSS) and Turner Freeman Lawyers, and members of both groups will will be available to speak with you about asbestos disease and compensation matters. There'll also be a free morning tea, but to help plan the catering an RSVP by Friday, February 26 would be greatly appreciated. You can make one by phoning 1800 776-412.
Candidates Forum - Highfields
Yarraman and Cooyar residents who'd like to find out more about the five candidates standing for the position of Mayor of Toowoomba Regional Council - or the 31 candidates vying for the seven councillor positions - will need to travel 100km to Highfields tonight. Highfields and District Business Connections will be hosting a public Candidates Forum at Highfields State School, and doors will open at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Come & Try Rugby League - Wondai, Murgon and Cherbourg
Three "Come & Try" rugby league afternoons will be held at the Wondai sportsgrounds, Murgon sportsgrounds and Cherbourg sportsgrounds from 5:00pm to 6:00pm this afternoon. A special feature of all three events will be visits by NRL players Petero Civoniceva, Nathan Merritt, Brent Tate and Mario Fenech. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
