South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
MBDA Candidates Forum - Murgon
The Murgon Buisiness and Development Association will be holding a Candidate's Forum for Mayoral and Division 6 candidates at the Murgon Services Club in Lamb Street, Murgon at 6:00pm this evening so that Barambah Valley residents can get to meet the five people running for Mayor and the two people running for the Division 6 seat currently held by Cr Ros Heit, who is seeking re-election at the March 19 Council elections. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
Makers, Bakers & Growers Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be running the weekly Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett and surrounding areas, along with great hand-crafted pizzas, and are held at O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. NaTDA Meeting - Nanango
The Nanango Tourism & Development Association will be holding its second monthly dinner meeting for 2016 in the Long Hai Room at the Nanango RSL in Henry Street, Nanango at 5:00pm this evening (meeting starts at 5:30pm). The NaTDA aims to assist, foster, instigate or manage any project that could contribute to the advancement of the communities in and around Nanango and represents the interests of the Nanango community, business and tourism operators. All interested people are very welcome to come along and get involved, and the meeting will be followed by dinner at the RSL's bistro. Note: Tonight's meeting is being held a week earlier than usual - meetings will revert to their usual third Thursday timeslot next month.
Thursday Evening Futsal - Kingaroy

St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango

Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon
Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 2:30pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. Walk With Linda Registration Night - Kingaroy
A public information and registration evening about a proposed "Walk With Lynda" community walk from Crawford State School to Memorial Park in Kingaroy on Sunday, May 15 will be held in the beer garden at Kingaroy's Carrollee Hotel in King Street from 6:00pm to 8:00pm tonight. The walk will be a fundraiser to aid melanoma awareness and research, and registering to take part in it is $20. On May 15, walkers will leave the school at 3:00pm and there'll be a closing ceremony and light refreshments when they arrive at Memorial Park. Everyone is welcome!
Thursday Night League Training - Kingaroy
Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
MBDA Breakfast Meeting - Murgon
The Murgon Business and Development Association will be holding their latest monthly meeting for 2016 at the Royal Hotel at the corner of Gore and Lamb Streets at 6:30am this morning (entry is via Gore Street). Breakfast is $15 per head plus coffee, and an RSVP to Margaret on (07) 4168-2922 would be greatly appreciated for catering purposes. The meeting will feature several guest speakers and introduce a number of new MBDA members, and all interested people are welcome to attend.
Blackbutt-Benarkin Community Council Meeting
The Blackbutt-Benarkin Community Council will be holding its regular monthly meeting at the Blackbutt Memorial Hall in Coulson Street at 7:00pm this evening. The BBCC is a community organisation that works to assist other groups in their efforts to develop Blackbutt and its surrounding areas, and new members are always welcome. Wesleyan Food Hampers - Nanango
Wesleyan Grace Community Food Hampers will be available at 36 Fitzroy Street, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon today. Food hampers will be available for $20.
Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. AA meets in Kingaroy every Thursday from 7:30pm at the "Biscuit Tin", behind St Mary's Church Hall, 15 Albert Street, Kingaroy. For more information, phone (07) 4162-5747.
