South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Women's Wellness Day - Proston
A Women's Wellness Day will be held at the Proston Town Hall in Rodney Street, Proston from 9:30am to 1:30pm today. This free event will be offering Tai Chi, fun exercises, head and shoulder massages, manicures, pedicures, Nutrimetics make-up and inspirational guest speakers, and morning tea and lunch will be supplied free of charge as well. Today's get-together is being funded by the Australian Government as part of BIEDO’s Beating the Blues project, and all Proston and district women are very welcome. More details? Taras Hall Bingo - Nanango

AGL will be holding an information session this afternoon at the Cooranga North Hall in regards to its proposed Coopers Gap Wind Farm. The meeting will start at 1:00pm and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Makers, Bakers & Growers Markets - Kingaroy
Boots & Bulldust will be running the weekly Makers, Bakers and Growers Markets in Kingaroy today. The markets feature fresh food and crafts produced exclusively in the South Burnett and surrounding areas, along with great hand-crafted pizzas, and are held at O'Neill Square in Haly Street, Kingaroy between 12:00 noon and 6:30pm. Thursday Night League Training - Kingaroy
Training for Kingaroy Red Ants U16, U18 and A Grade players will be held at T.J. O'Neill Oval in Youngman Street, Kingaroy this evening. U16s and U18s start training at 5:30pm, and A grade players at 6:00pm.
St Joseph's Bingo - Murgon
St Joseph's Parish Hall in Angel Avenue, Murgon will be hosting bingo games from 7:30pm this evening. There'll be $1000 in prizes on offer as well as a canteen and lucky bingo tickets. Proceeds will go to aid St Joseph's school and community works.
St Patricks Day Benefit Concert - Kingaroy
Today is St Patricks Day, named after the patron saint of the Emerald Isle who played a major role in converting Ireland to Christianity and who allegedly drove all the snakes out as well. In honour of the occasion, a special St Patricks Day Benefit Concert in aid of RACQ Careflight will be held at the South Burnett Senior Citizens Centre at the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets in Kingaroy (just opposite SuperIGA) at 2:00pm this afternoon. The concert will be performed by the Blackbutt Singers and will be followed by an Irish afternoon tea. Admission is $10 for adults or $8 for concessions and everyone is welcome. More details? Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group
The Murgon Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Group will be holding a meeting at Graham House at 21 Taylor Street East in Murgon from 9:00am to 2:00pm today. Women For Mental Wellness Morning Tea - Nanango
Women For Mental Wellness will be holding a morning tea at Ringsfield House at 45 Alfred Street, Nanango at 9:30am this morning. Boots & Bulldust chair and Division 1 candidate Sandy Towell will be a special guest speaker, along with Senior Constable Sarah Batholomeusz from Nanango Police; Mayoral candidate Sheena Lindholm; Wellbeing coach Tracy Ahlquist; and a representative from SYC Counselling Services. Admission is $12 per head and proceeds will go to Seeds Of Hope mental health projects. Everyone is welcome, but an RSVP by March 10 would be greatly appreciated to help plan the catering. Old Time Dancing Classes - Murgon
Old Time Dancing will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Macalister Street, Murgon at 1:00pm to 2:30pm this afternoon. The class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced, all in a fun and social atmosphere lead by a qualified dance instructor. Alcoholics Anonymous - Kingaroy
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other to help solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership. A.A. isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution.
