South Burnett CTC - Working For Our Community
Art Exhibition Opening - Wondai
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the roundabout at Wondai will be opening their seventh monthly exhibition for 2012 with a wine and cheese tasting at 6:00pm this evening. Tonight's exhibition is the biennial South Burnett High School Students Art Competition, sponsored by Stanwell Corporation. The competition will feature paintings, pottery and sculpture executed by students from Murgon and Kingaroy State High Schools and St Mary’s Catholic College, while works by students from Proston State School will be featured in Kidz Korner. As usual, tonight's opening will also feature great finger foods and wine tastings, which this month will be supplied by Captain's Paddock. Admission tonight is free and everyone is very welcome to attend! More details? Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). Nanango Writers Association Meeting
The Nanango Writers Association will be meeting at the Nanango Theatre at the corner of George and Elk Streets, Nanango from 9:00am to 12:00 noon this morning. Murgon QCWA AGM and Final Meeting
The Murgon branch of the QCWA will be holding their Annual General Meerting - and also their last meeting after 88 years of operations - at the Murgon QCWA Rooms in Macalister Street, Murgon at 10:00am this morning. The branch has taken the decision to close after being unable to attract new members due to changing times, and is the third South Burnett QCWA branch to close after Cloyna and Wooroolin. All existing and past members are very welcome to attend today's final meeting.
Jeff Hancox - Kingaroy
Don't want to step on any blue suede shoes? Then get along to the Kingaroy RSL in Markwell Street tonight and get down with the South Burnett's very own Jeff Hancox (YouTubed at left performing at the 2009 Peanut Festival). Jeff will be putting on a top show from 7:30pm to around 11:30pm singing all The King's favourites as part of the RSL's on-going campaign to showcase the South Burnett's best performing artists. Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy

Cash For Karaoke - Murgon
The South Burnett Lively 50s & 60s Singles Social Group will be holding a Karaoke Night at the Australian Hotel in Lamb Street, Murgon from 8:00pm until late this evening. St John's Lutheran School Open Day - Kingaroy

Rock Against Work - Kingaroy
