Heartmoves Information Session - Nanango
A free Heartmoves Information Session led by South Burnett physiotherapist Louise Kenny will be held at Rapid Fitness at 4 Railway Lane in Nanango between 10:45am and 11:45am this morning. The Heartmoves exercise program - which will be starting at the same time and venue next Wednesday (and every Wednesday after that for the next 6 months) is jointly sponsored by the Heart Foundation, Rapid Fitness and the South Burnett Regional Council's Healthy Communities program. It's designed for people who haven't done exercise in awhile, and it lets you exercise at your own pace in a supportive environment. Today's information session will answer any questions you might have about the Heartmoves Program and will also include a basic pre-exercise assessment with Louise if you think you'd like to join up. Bowls Club Bingo - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Bowls Club at 141 Youngman St, Kingaroy will be running bingo matches from 7:30pm this evening with $800 in prizes on offer. More details from the club on (07) 4162-1404
Timbertown Woodworkers Group Meeting - Blackbutt
The Timbertown Woodworkers Group will be holding their regular Wednesday meeting at the Blackbutt Showgrounds in Bowman Road, Blackbutt from 8:00am until around 4:00pm today. Indoor Bowls & Cards Day - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Senior Citizens Club will be hosting indoor bowls and cards (500) competitions at its centre on the corner of Avoca and Kingaroy Streets, Kingaroy between 9:00am and 4:00pm today. Wednesday Night Poker - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy RSL in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy will be hosting Wednesday night poker games this evening. Registration starts at 6:30pm and the first cards are dealt at 7:00pm, with $150 worth of prizes to be won. More details from the RSL on (07) 4162-1755.
Wednesday 10-Pin Bowling - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Lively 50s&60s Social Group will be holding a Social 10-pin Bowls Morning at the Kingaroy Ten Pin Bowling Alley at 4 Irvins Street in Kingaroy from 9:15am this morning (bowling starts at 9:30am sharp). The cost is $15.60 for three games plus a $2.00 fee that will be used towards prize money and trophies which will be handed out out at the end of the season in late September. Alcoholics Anonymous - Wondai
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strengths and hopes with each other to help solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and AA isn't allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.
