How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be holding their final performances of the evergreen musical comedy classic "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy at 1:30pm this afternoon, and then again at 7:30pm this evening. The musical is based on Shepherd Mead's 1952 book of the same name, and the story concerns young, ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch who - with the help of the book - rises from window washer to chairman of the board of the World Wide Wicket Company. The original Broadway production opened in October 1961 and went on to win seven Tony Awards, the New York Drama Critics Circle award and the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society have been rehearsing this latest production for months and if you've never been to an SBMC show, they're an absolute delight and well worth seeing. Tickets to either of today's performances are $20 for adults or $15 for concession card holders and students and they'll be available at the door. Refreshments will also be available before the show starts and during interval.

Everyone is welcome and you can obtain more details by phoning Father Tony on (07) 4162-3121. Note: This fete has usually been held each October, but it's moving to August this year to avoid conflicting with other events.
