Daffodil Day
Today is Daffodil Day, an annual fundraiser for the Queensland Cancer Council. If you'd like to support this cause, daffodil stalls will be dotted across the region today selling fresh daffodils and other Daffodil Day items. Friday Social Golf - Kingaroy
The Kingaroy Golf Club on the Bunya Highway at Kingaroy will holding their regular Friday 9-ers 9 hole social golfing sessions for men and women from 8:00am until dusk today. Everyone is most welcome (including non-members) and green fees are $11 for members or $14 for non-members for the nine holes - but this also includes a card draw for prizes in the clubhouse in the evening (there's also a Jackpot card draw on the last Friday of each month). How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society will be holding their fourth performance of the evergreen musical comedy classic "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" at the Kingaroy Town Hall in Glendon Street, Kingaroy at 7:30pm this evening. The musical is based on Shepherd Mead's 1952 book of the same name, and the story concerns young, ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch who - with the help of the book - rises from window washer to chairman of the board of the World Wide Wicket Company. The original Broadway production opened in October 1961 and went on to win seven Tony Awards, the New York Drama Critics Circle award and the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The South Burnett Musical Comedy Society have been rehearsing this latest production for months and if you've never been to an SBMC show, they're an absolute delight and well worth seeing. Tickets to tonight's performance are $20 for adults or $15 for concession card holders and students and they'll be available at the door. Refreshments will also be available before the show starts and during interval. Note: One final matinee performance will be held at the same venue tomorrow afternoon at 1:30pm; and the final evening show will be held at 7:30pm tomrrow night.
Dark Green Urban - Kingaroy
The Commercial Hotel at the corner of Haly and Glendon Streets in Kingaroy will be holding a Dark Green Urban Party in the beer garden tonight, emceed by the South Burnett's most popular host DJdirex. Guests are encouraged to dress to a dark, green urban theme (but dressing like Keith Urban will also be acceptable). Admission is free if you get in by 9:00pm, otherwise a $5 late fee applies. Endeavour Foundation Bingo - Kingaroy

Karaoke Night - Wondai
The South Burnett Lively 50s & 60s Singles Social Group will be holding a Karaoke Night at the Warana Hotel at 42 Mackenzie Street, Wondai from 7:30pm until late this evening.
