A Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concert - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Chorale will be performing "A Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concert" at the Uniting Church Hall in Alford Street, Kingaroy from 2:00pm to around 4:00pm this afternoon. The concert will feature a range of new songs that the group recently performed at the Kingaroy Eisteddfod (where they took top honours in the Open Choir section of the Vocal And Keyboard Championship) along with some old favourites. Nanango Camera Club Meeting
The Nanango Camera Club will be holding its June monthly meeting at Tipperary Flat next to the BP garage off the D'Aguilar Highway south of Nanango at 1:00pm this afternoon. Today's meeting is a portraiture workshop and it will be led by John Lomas, an experienced portrait photographer from the Brisbane Camera Group. There'll be three to four models to practice on and the event is open to everyone, regardless of your current photographic skill level. Take Your Kids Fishing Day - Bjelke-Petersen Dam
A special "Take Your Kids Fishing Day" will be held at Bjelke-Petersen Dam north of Murgon from 8:30am to 1:00pm today. You should bring along your own fishing rods, bait, hat, sunscreen and water bottle but there'll be a free BBQ, free sample bags and plenty of kids activities to keep everyone happy and fed, as well as several fun competition.
